An Experience To Monsoon Hiking To Bagdwar

( A group photo before going inside Shivapuri National Park)

Soon after the completion of our First Terminal Exam, we the students of grade 10 were taken to Monsoon Hiking to Bagdwar for refreshment. There were altogether 25 students and 6 teachers who participated in this monsoon hiking to Bagdwar.

A day hike from Kathmandu to Bagdwar was one of the best moment of my life. It was a refreshing gentle hike in the damp green forest taking from Nagi Gompa, Budanilkantha, Shivapuri and Bagdwar. Staying there for a sec to turn the beautiful scenery into unforgettable pictures was the best memory. Bagdwar, the origin of sacred Bagmati River , where the water comes out of a tiger shaped spout at an altitude of 2732m, was our ultimate destination.

(Enjoying the weather)

We also enjoyed the view of Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, and Jugal Himals in the north and Manaslu Himal in the south from the second higest hill in the valley :the Shivapuri hill.

We started our journey from Kathmandu at
7AM in the morning from our School. Starting location was Budanilkantha which is a sacred place among Hindus. Then we proceed through Shivapuri National Park by walking. The dense forest and lust of nature made our tiredness go away. Reaching at the top of hill,we saw the natural beauty ofsurroundings.

(Returning back )

Taking left side of hill down we came to Nagi Gompa, a famous Buddhist monastery in Nepal. Then we continued our walk and got back to our home.
